Pre-Registration closes at 5:00 PM on Thursday, August 16th. However, swimmers may still register on-site on Sunday, August 19th between 10:30 and 11:30 AM. On Sunday, August 19, Save the Harbor / Save the Bay will host a one-mile, championship chip timed, professionally staffed, competitive swim. The Swim For Boston Harbor will take place at the BCYF Curley Recreation Center at M Street Beach in South Boston, which is among the cleanest urban beaches in America. Swimmers will follow the shoreline from the Curley Center heading west toward Carson Beach and return to the finish line at M Street beach. The swimmer who raises the most money to support Save the Harbor / Save the Bay and the work we do to restore and protect Boston Harbor and Massachusetts Bay will win a pair of round trip tickets on JetBlue Airways to any non-stop destination they fly from Logan Airport. To win the prize for fundraising and join us at the party, you do not have to complete the one mile swim, but you do have to pay your registration fee and give it your best shot! The first place male and female swimmers (with and without wetsuits) will be entered into a drawing to win a pair of round trip JetBlue Airways tickets as well. To add some life to the party, the person with the best bathing suit or beach costume will also win a great gift from Harpoon Brewery! Swimmers, supporters, and sponsors are all welcome to join us on the beach for an icy cold Harpoon beer and refreshments after the swim! Registration is just $50. The race is open to both wet suit and non-wet suit swimmers. This year's race will be capped at 100 swimmers.
